Waterfall Audio’s Glass Loudspeakers Turn Heads at CEDIA Expo

“Beautiful” isn’t a word often used to describe tech products — but it fits perfectly when talking
about Waterfall Audio’s stunning glass loudspeakers, which were among the most striking
products on display at this year’s CEDIA Expo.

The French brand, founded nearly three decades ago, has carved out a niche in high-end audio
with its glass-made speaker designs. Its newest creation, the Niagara XT3, exemplifies that
philosophy. With a minimalist, transparent cabinet that hides most components in the base, the
XT3 offers a clean, sculptural presence that looks more like fine art than audio gear. The glass
itself isn’t just aesthetic — engineers chose it for its smooth, predictable acoustic properties,
which help control how sound waves behave inside the enclosure.

Each XT3 is built from 11 precision-machined glass components crafted by some of the best
producers in the industry. At the top, a mechanically decoupled glass horn tweeter showcases
both engineering prowess and artistic flair, while the base houses the subwoofer and other
hardware for a seamless look. Even in a less-than-ideal trade show environment and powered by
just a single amplifier, the XT3 impressed with its performance and clarity.

“The Niagara XT3 is not just a loudspeaker. It’s a powerful statement of craftsmanship,
innovation, and luxury,” said Cedric Aubriot, CEO and founder of Waterfall Audio.

Waterfall also demonstrated the XT1, a sibling model featuring a wood tweeter for a slightly
different aesthetic but the same elegant design and sonic excellence. Both models prove that
loudspeakers don’t need bulky cabinets or flashy finishes to make a statement — simplicity and
craftsmanship can be just as powerful.

The Niagara XT3 will launch in the U.S. later this month, with pricing to be announced soon.
